Assistant State's Attorney
Location: Charleston, Coles County, Illinois, Fifth Judicial Circuit
Requirements: The applicant must be (1) a graduate of an accredited law school;
(2) licensed to practice in the State of Illinois; (3) be a resident of Coles County or be willing to live no further than one hour driving time from the Coles County Courthouse.
Responsibilities: Manage prosecution of cases from charging to post-conviction appeals. Traffic court call and assigned misdemeanors, mental health cases and ordinance violations.
Description: The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, must be accurate and thorough. Must be able to adapt, manage competing demands, and work as a team as well as independently.
