GIS
A geographic information system (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data. The key word to this technology is Geography – this means that some portion of the data is spatial. In other words, data that is in some way referenced to locations on the earth.

Mapping services and collection has been an important part of CCRP&DC for many years. The GIS Department not only completes services for the seven-county region, but also implemented and manages the GIS for Coles County.

Coles County Regional Planning and Development Commission has been creating and editing maps and data for more than 50 years. We offer professional GIS Services for municipalities and counties at an affordable rate of $25 per hour.We also offer GIS Web Map Hosting starting as low as $1,000 annually.
