Jackie Chism

Jackie Chism has been with Coles County Regional Planning & Development Commission for 15 years. Jackie has lived in Charleston most of her life and has strong ties to the community. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, and raising her two dogs.

Education

Jackie is a 2000 graduate of Charleston High School and went on to receive her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Lake Land College on a tuition waiver and scholarship she received for academic achievement. In 2025, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (BSBM).

Work Experience

After working 8 years in financial institutions, both as a Teller and Assistant Supervisor, Jackie came to work for Regional Planning as an Administrative Assistant in February of 2011. She was promoted to Planner in March of 2018 and now not only performs administrative duties for the office, but also writes grants and plans for our 7 county region.
